End of ISDN

BT has just announced the end of consumer ISDN in the UK.

Before the Internet was known about, the great hope for data communication was ISDN (Integrated Services Digital Network). Unfortunately it was always priced at the pain point, ie at the highest price that the market would bear. ISDN never got out of the Design Studio/Printer niches.
