Microsofts Quick Virus Checker (Free)

To help relieve customer support problems, Microsoft has
developed a secret little tool that scans a customer's computer,
and removes the most prevalent computer viruses.

Microsoft found that when their support staff uses this tool,
they are able to resolve a large percentage of customer support
problems quickly.

Just run the secret software, and the Windows related problem
often goes away.

You can find this secret program, the 'Malicious Software Removal
Tool', and run it online at

http://www.microsoft.com/security/malwareremove/default.mspx

It is free and updated every two weeks.

Even if you don't need this virus removal tool today, you might
want to bookmark it for later.

You don't want to do this if you are signed up with google adsense

Some things not to do with Google Adsense :

Don't ever click on the ad displayed on your own site even if you
are interested about the content. What you can do is enter the
address of the website given in ad into the search bar manually.

Do not click on your own ads even if you are on someone else's
computer ( may be your friend's, or in college or office ). Google
records the IP of all the page views and ad clicks. Google will
find out that the clicks are coming from the same geographical
location.

Don't sign-up for programs like click exchange. Google will kick
you out.

Don't ask anyone to click on your ads. He might click on your
ads more times from the same IP, resulting in your account
cancellation.

Don't use sneaky redirects or hidden-text links on your site.

Don't write anything on your site encouraging visitors to click on
your ads.

Don't modify the adsense ad code in any way.

Don't publish competitor's ad on the website.

DO NOT LOGIN into Your Adsense Account on a Public PC where other people might click your ads!!

TAKE THIS VERY SERIOUSLY INDEED people get banned from Adsense every day!!

Tips to increase your google adsense earnings
Ad-Placement :
The ads on your site should be placed as such that it does not distract or annoy user.Users generally don't like site with lot of ads. They leave the site if they get annoyed.Make sure that ads on your site appears to be content of your site. This can be done by using appropriate colored ad. Check out my ad placement for example.

Keywords :
Load your site with enough keywords to get targetted ads. If you don't have enough
keywords then you will get PSAs (Public Service Ads). PSAs, generally bring no money.
Very few person click on a PSA.

Content :
The most important thing about a site is its content. If the content is good, you willget people who bookmark your page, if the content is not good, user will leave your site within seconds. Make your site's content simple and to the point. Use content which attracts most of users like ' making money '.

Upgrading Nightmare

It seems to me that PC's are generally reliable these days and WinXP is much more stable than its predecessors. Every now and again something arrives to upset things though. An obscure part of my ColdFusion Code relating to Database Access (Temporary Tables) wasn't working. The Googled solution was to install a small update to Coldfusion and then upgrade to MySql 4.1.18. This I did, then nothing worked on my ColdFusion, googled solution, was to reconfigure the DSN. phew. Then I found that none of my PHP or Perl Applications were working as they were using the "old Mysql Passwords" anyway ended up upgrading PHP,Perl and Perl-DBI. Then I found that my Intranet server was not working at all, had to reconfigure the Apache PHP dlls.
Final problem was a localtime function in PHP.

I hope that's all OK now

DVD/TV Subtitles incredibly Popular

Have you caught on to fact how useful subtitles are in busy, noisy and argumentative family houses. Apparently millions now systematically put them on. They are also useful for understanding cryptic parts of a film. Snobs of course put on the subtitles in a different language.
